Zone 2 Determination Test

A Zone 2 determination exercise test is a method used to assess aerobic fitness and establish personalized training zones. During the test, individuals engage in moderate-intensity exercise, usually maintaining a heart rate between 60-70% of their maximum heart rate, for a duration of 30-60 minutes. This zone corresponds to an intensity where the body primarily burns fat for fuel, improving endurance and metabolic efficiency. By spending extended periods in this zone, individuals can enhance their aerobic capacity and overall fitness level. The test provides valuable insights into an individual's aerobic base, guiding the development of training programs tailored to optimize performance and achieve specific fitness goals. Additionally, it aids in monitoring progress over time, ensuring training remains effective and aligned with desired outcomes.
